Reinstall Visual C++ Redistributable
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is a component used during gameplay. Corrupt Visual C++ files causes Battlefield 4 crashes. Reinstall it to fix your problem.
For Windows 8:
1. Press Windows Key, type "Control Panel" in the Search Box.

1. Download and install a System Utilities software.
2. Start full scan. Wait till it is finished.
3. Repair all errors.
Change Graphics Settings
Graphics settings such as broadcast resolution and picture quality play a critical role during gameplay. Incompatible settings cause the game to stop functioning.
For Windows 8 & Earlier Versions:
1. Open Battlefield 4.
2. Press Shift + F1 to open Origin.
3. Click Camera icon | Twitch menu.

DEP stands for Data Execution Prevention. It is a security feature in Microsoft Windows. Fix DEP and Battlefield 4 conflicts by excluding game files as shown below:
For Windows 8 & Earlier Versions:
1. Right click My Computer desktop icon, select Properties.
2. Click Advanced system settings.
3. Click the Advanced tab, Settings button under Performance category.
4. Click Data Execution Prevention tab.
5. Select the option named "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select".
6. Click Add button, browse the following directory:
C:Program Files (x86)Origin GamesBattlefield 4
7. Add all.EXE files and then click OK twice.
